The grapes for our Riesling “Alte Reben” come from the legendary Karthäuserhofberg and reflect its entire mineral intensity.

Our wines come from the Ruwer Valley, a side valley of the Moselle, characterized by slate soils and a unique cool microclimate. We carefully pick and select our grapes by hand and work with only the best grapes to minimize yields. Our vineyards are cultivated according to biodynamic principles and the wines are produced in a purist manner. Sustainability, a sense of responsibility and fair cooperation are our top priorities.

A VDP Ortswein is the expression of the best vineyards of a specific location, matched to the unique terroir of the region. In our case, this means an authentic taste experience of the typical reddish Devonian slate terroir of Eitelsbach. All our Ortsweine come from vines that are at least 50 years old.
